Quess Corp, IGS, and IPA Partner to Establish Indo–Japan GCC Corridor

Quess Corp today announced a strategic collaboration through its wholly owned subsidiary Quess International Services Private Limited with Institution for a Global Society (IGS) and Indo-Pacific Advisory (IPA) to establish a robust Indo–Japan Global Capability Center (GCC) corridor. The initiative is designed to support leading Japanese enterprises in building, scaling, and transforming their India operations across high-growth sectors.
Strengthening the India–Japan Strategic Partnership
The partnership builds on the deepening Special Strategic and Global Partnership between India and Japan. As two key Indo-Pacific economies, both nations continue to strengthen cooperation across trade, technology, supply-chain resilience, and innovation.
Japan’s commitment to invest 5 trillion yen in India by 2027, along with a renewed 2025 bilateral agreement targeting 10 trillion yen in private investment over the next decade, reflects the growing economic relationship between the two countries. Initiatives such as the Japan-India Digital Partnership and the Industrial Competitiveness Partnership are further expanding collaboration in semiconductors, critical minerals, and advanced technologies.
Rising Demand for Digital and Technology Talent
Japanese enterprises are increasingly accelerating their digital transformation agendas. More than 70 percent of Japanese companies report a growing need for advanced cloud, artificial intelligence, and machine learning capabilities. At the same time, government projections indicate a requirement for up to 790,000 additional IT and engineering professionals by 2030.
As organizations seek to address these talent requirements, India is emerging as a strategic destination for accessing specialized technology expertise at scale.
India Emerges as a Preferred GCC Destination
With more than 2,000 Global Capability Centers operating across the country, India has firmly established itself as the world’s leading GCC destination. While the GCC ecosystem has traditionally been dominated by US and European organizations, Japanese enterprises are increasingly exploring India as a hub for AI, cybersecurity, data engineering, advanced manufacturing, and next-generation engineering capabilities.
The Quess–IGS–IPA partnership aims to support this next phase of growth by helping Japanese companies diversify global operations, access future-ready talent, and accelerate capability development.
Focus on High-Growth Industry Sectors
The Indo–Japan GCC corridor will support enterprises across a wide range of industries, including:
  • Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI)
  • Manufacturing
  • Healthcare
  • Energy
  • Education
  • Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Ecosystems
The initiative is expected to enable organizations to build scalable and innovation-driven operations in India.
Quess Corp Highlights India's GCC Strength
Commenting on the collaboration, Lohit Bhatia, Executive Director and Group CEO of Quess Corp, said that India has cemented its position as the world’s foremost destination for GCC growth, supported by a strong talent ecosystem, advanced digital capabilities, and an innovation-driven workforce.
He noted that the partnership will establish a structured Indo–Japan GCC corridor that enables Japanese companies to build and scale operations in India while creating meaningful, high-skilled employment opportunities for Indian professionals.
Building a Bridge Between Japanese Enterprises and Indian Talent
Masahiro Fukuhara, Founder and CEO of Institution for a Global Society (IGS), highlighted the challenges Japanese companies face due to advanced talent shortages and a shrinking workforce.
He stated that India’s young population, strong STEM capabilities, and expertise in emerging fields such as cybersecurity and physical AI make it a natural strategic partner. Through the alliance, Japanese organizations will gain greater access to India’s talent ecosystem and innovation capabilities.
Simplifying Market Entry and Long-Term Growth
Nihal Chauhan, Founder of Indo-Pacific Advisory (IPA), emphasized that the India–Japan relationship is entering a new phase focused on technology collaboration, capability building, and shared strategic interests.
He noted that while India offers significant opportunities, successful market entry requires navigating regulatory frameworks and establishing the right local relationships. The partnership aims to provide Japanese companies with a structured and lower-risk pathway to establish and scale operations in India.
Advancing the Next Phase of Indo–Japan GCC Growth
Through this collaboration, Quess Corp, IGS, and IPA aim to strengthen India–Japan business and technology ties while accelerating the adoption of GCC models among Japanese enterprises. The initiative is expected to support long-term growth, innovation, and digital transformation by connecting Japanese organizations with India’s expanding talent and capability ecosystem.
