LPL Financial has launched its first international Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad, marking a significant step in its global expansion strategy and reinforcing the city’s growing reputation as a financial and technology hub.
Strategic Expansion into India
The newly established GCC is located in Hyderabad’s Financial District and spans approximately 3 lakh square feet. The center will support a wide range of operations, including technology development, data analytics, and risk management, serving as a key hub for the company’s global operations.
Employment and Hiring Plans
LPL Financial plans to hire over 1,500 professionals in the coming years. As part of its immediate hiring roadmap, the company aims to onboard around 680 to 700 employees by the end of this year, creating significant employment opportunities in the region.
Phased Operational Setup
The company is currently operating from a temporary facility and plans to transition into its permanent office space by early 2027, aligning with its long-term expansion plans in India.
Government Support and Ecosystem Growth
The launch was inaugurated virtually by D Sridhar Babu, who highlighted Hyderabad’s rapid growth in attracting global companies. He noted that the city is home to over 450 GCCs, generating around 1.3 lakh high-skilled jobs.
Officials also stated that nearly 80 new GCCs were added in the past year, reflecting strong global confidence in Hyderabad’s business ecosystem.
Hyderabad as a Preferred GCC Destination
LPL Financial emphasized that Hyderabad’s strong talent pool played a key role in its location decision. The city’s infrastructure, availability of skilled professionals, and supportive environment continue to attract global enterprises.
Supporting Global Operations
The Hyderabad GCC will function as a strategic support hub for LPL Financial’s global operations, particularly in the United States. The company supports over 32,000 advisors worldwide and manages assets worth approximately $2.4 trillion.
Conclusion
The launch of LPL Financial’s GCC further strengthens Hyderabad’s position as a leading destination for Global Capability Centers. The development reflects the city’s transformation into a major global hub for financial services and advanced technology.
