Levi Strauss & Co. has elevated Vijay Nair to the position of Vice President & Site Leader, Levi’s Global Talent Hub (GCC), recognizing his contributions to the company’s analytics, artificial intelligence, planning, and digital transformation initiatives over the past several years.
The appointment reflects the company’s continued investment in strengthening its Global Capability Center (GCC) strategy and expanding India’s role as a key hub for innovation, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, enterprise planning, and business transformation.
Leading the Next Phase of GCC Development
In his new role, Vijay will lead Levi’s Global Talent Hub in India, overseeing capability development, talent growth, innovation initiatives, and strategic business support functions serving the company’s global operations.
He will also be responsible for advancing the organization’s AI-driven transformation agenda while strengthening the GCC’s contribution to enterprise-wide growth, operational excellence, and innovation.
A Proven Leader Within Levi Strauss & Co.
Vijay has been associated with Levi Strauss & Co. for nearly five years and has progressively expanded his leadership responsibilities across planning, analytics, artificial intelligence, and capability development.
Prior to this promotion, he served as Vice President – MPIM (South Asia, Middle East & Africa and Global Talent Hub), where he led strategic planning and capability-building initiatives across multiple regions. Earlier, he held leadership positions focused on planning, analytics, data science, and AI across APAC, MEA, and South Asia markets.
Extensive Experience in Analytics and Data Science
Before joining Levi Strauss & Co., Vijay served as Senior Director, Data Science & Engineering at Lowe’s India, where he led global teams developing analytics solutions across pricing, promotions, competitive intelligence, and finance functions.
His career also includes leadership roles at Tesco Bengaluru, Tesco.com, American Express, and Global Analytics, where he gained expertise in customer analytics, digital operations, business intelligence, operational excellence, and strategic decision-making.
Commitment to Developing Future Technology Leaders
Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Vijay has contributed to technology education as a Visiting Faculty in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at institutions including the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, IIIT Delhi, and the Goa Institute of Management.
An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, he brings deep expertise in artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, enterprise planning, digital transformation, and business leadership.
