UK-based database management company DSP has established its first overseas Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru, marking the company’s entry into the Indian market.
The company has partnered with GoodWorks Group as its consulting partner to set up the new centre, which will operate from GoodWorks GCC Nexus in Bengaluru.
GCC Inaugurated in Bengaluru
The newly established GCC was inaugurated by Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, CEO of Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM), in the presence of K T Rajan, Director – Technology, Innovation, Education and Skills at the British Deputy High Commission, along with other industry representatives.
Bengaluru Chosen for Talent and Innovation Ecosystem
Commenting on the launch, Paul Cocks, Group Chief Operating Officer at DSP, highlighted Bengaluru’s strong talent ecosystem as a key factor behind the company’s decision to establish its first overseas GCC in the city.
According to the company, the centre will support the expansion of DSP’s consulting, delivery, and technology capabilities across the Oracle landscape while helping the organization deliver greater value to its global clients.
India Hub to Combine Global Expertise with Local Talent
An Oracle Premium Partner, DSP stated that the Bengaluru GCC will bring together the company’s global expertise and India’s skilled talent pool to strengthen service delivery and technology capabilities.
The centre is expected to support a range of consulting and technology functions while contributing to the company’s global operations.
Karnataka Reinforces Position as a GCC Destination
Speaking at the inauguration, KDEM CEO Sanjeev Kumar Gupta said DSP’s decision to establish its first overseas GCC in Bengaluru reflects Karnataka’s growing prominence as a preferred destination for Global Capability Centers.
He noted that Karnataka is home to more than 1,000 GCCs employing over 660,000 professionals, accounting for approximately 40% of India’s GCC workforce.
Gupta emphasized that GCCs in the state have evolved beyond traditional cost centers to become global innovation hubs driving business transformation and technology-led growth.
GoodWorks Group Supports GCC Launch
Sonia Sharma and Vishwas Mudagal, Cofounders of GoodWorks Group, said the new centre will help strengthen DSP’s capabilities across enterprise database management, cloud, and technology services for its global client base.
The partnership highlights GoodWorks Group’s role in supporting global enterprises as they establish and scale GCC operations in India.
