Coupang, Inc., a Fortune 150 technology company headquartered in the United States, has officially expanded its India Development Center with a new office in Hyderabad, launched in July 2025. The expansion marks a major milestone in Coupang’s India operations, positioning the Hyderabad office as a key hub for global technology innovation and deep tech development.
The Hyderabad office complements Coupang’s ongoing investments in generative AI, core system ownership, and next-generation commerce technologies, further scaling its global operations and engineering footprint.
Driving Growth Amid Strong Financial Performance
The expansion coincides with Coupang’s robust Q2 2025 financial results, which reported net revenues of $8.5 billion (INR 70,800 crore, up 16% YoY; 19% FX-neutral) and an operating income of $149 million (INR 1,240 crore). These results underscore Coupang’s continued focus on cutting-edge technology and customer-centric innovations.

Since its inception in late 2023, the India Development Center has emerged as Coupang’s fastest-growing engineering hub. The center leads the development and scaling of core systems that underpin Coupang’s global commerce ecosystem.
India-based teams are pioneering advanced AI and generative AI innovations, automating operations, and enhancing customer experiences across Coupang’s global businesses.
