Persistent Systems has announced the appointment of Srijita Sinha as Senior Vice President – GCC Head (BFSI), strengthening the company’s strategic focus on the rapidly growing Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) Global Capability Center (GCC) ecosystem in India.
Strengthening Focus on BFSI GCCs
Srijita Sinha will lead Persistent Systems’ efforts to expand and strengthen partnerships with BFSI Global Capability Centers, which are increasingly emerging as innovation and transformation hubs for global financial institutions.
Commenting on the appointment, Barath Narayanan S S, Global Head of BFSI Unit and Head – Europe Region at Persistent Systems, highlighted Sinha’s extensive domain expertise and her strong track record of building long-term executive relationships across the BFSI sector.
Bringing Extensive BFSI Leadership Experience
Sinha joins Persistent Systems from Wipro, where she served as General Manager and Sales Leader – BFSI. In this role, she managed strategic client portfolios for Wipro’s India BFSI business and was responsible for business planning, strategy formulation, P&L management, CXO engagement, transformational deal pursuits, alliance partnerships, and go-to-market initiatives.
Over Two Decades at Infosys
Before Wipro, Sinha spent more than 24 years at Infosys, holding multiple leadership positions across sales, account management, delivery, client relationships, and business transformation.
Most recently, she served as Senior Director and Client Relationships – GCC Business Head, where she led sales strategy and business growth for financial services and capital markets GCCs across India and the Asia-Pacific region.
Her responsibilities included driving large deal pursuits, new account development, revenue growth, executive governance, GCC strategy, and building high-performance teams.
Deep Expertise in Transformation and Technology
Earlier at Infosys, Sinha served as Director – Client Relationships, leading sales and business development initiatives across financial services GCCs.
During her tenure, she supported transformational engagements covering software services, cloud modernization, digital transformation, data solutions, API-led architectures, and business operations.
Her career journey also includes roles as Delivery Director, Program Manager, Technical Project Lead, and Software Developer, providing her with broad expertise across technology modernization, portfolio management, delivery excellence, and strategic account growth.
Supporting the Evolving BFSI GCC Ecosystem
With more than 27 years of experience spanning sales leadership, digital transformation, financial services technology, GCC strategy, business development, and client relationship management, Sinha brings significant industry expertise to Persistent Systems.
Her appointment comes at a time when India-based GCCs are playing an increasingly important role in driving innovation, technology transformation, operational excellence, AI adoption, and cloud modernization for global banking and financial institutions.
