Global chemicals company BASF has announced the establishment of a Global Service Hub and a Global Digital Hub in Hyderabad, India. The new facilities will operate under BASF’s Global Business Services (GBS) organization and are expected to commence operations during the second quarter of 2026.
The expansion is aimed at strengthening BASF’s global service delivery capabilities while enhancing digital expertise across the organization.
Supporting Global Business Operations
The Global Service Hub will focus on delivering services across key business functions, including Finance and Human Resources, while supporting BASF’s worldwide operations.
In parallel, the Global Digital Hub will serve as a center of digital expertise, helping advance the company’s digital capabilities and technology-driven initiatives across global markets.
Hyderabad Chosen for Talent and Business Ecosystem
According to BASF, Hyderabad was selected following an evaluation of talent availability, business infrastructure, and the city’s growing reputation as a destination for global capability centers and business services operations.
The company noted that the new hubs will become part of BASF’s global delivery network, complementing existing service locations in Berlin, Kuala Lumpur, and Montevideo.

Commenting on the expansion, Tobias Dratt stated that Hyderabad offers access to a strong talent ecosystem and provides an environment that supports scalable, high-quality services for BASF’s global businesses.
The company believes the investment will further strengthen its ability to deliver efficient services and digital capabilities across regions.

The announcement reinforces Hyderabad’s growing position as a major destination for Global Capability Centers, Global Business Services operations, and digital transformation initiatives.
