CIBC GCC, Nestlé, and Sargad Investments Strengthen Hyderabad’s Position as a Global Capability Hub

Telangana’s efforts to position Hyderabad as a global investment and innovation destination received a boost as Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce announced plans to establish a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in the city.
The proposed centre is expected to commence operations in July and will support the company’s global technology and financial services functions. Industry sources indicated that the GCC is expected to create more than 2,000 skilled jobs across banking technology, analytics, and related domains.
Strengthening Hyderabad’s BFSI GCC Ecosystem
With this development, CIBC joins a growing list of Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) organizations operating GCCs in Hyderabad, including JPMorgan Chase, UBS, Wells Fargo, HSBC, American Express, and Barclays.
Officials believe the investment could further strengthen Hyderabad’s attractiveness as a destination for global BFSI firms seeking to establish and expand operations in India.
Hyderabad Continues to Emerge as a GCC Destination
According to the Nasscom-Zinnov GCC Landscape Report 2026 cited in the article, Hyderabad has emerged as one of India’s fastest-growing GCC destinations, with nearly 450 centres operating across the city.
The report also noted that half of all leading financial services companies establishing GCCs in India during 2025 selected Hyderabad as their preferred location.
Nestlé Selects Hyderabad for GCC Operations
The article also highlighted that Nestlé has chosen Hyderabad as the location for its Global Capability Centre.
The facility is expected to become operational in the coming months and is anticipated to support innovation, supply chain development, and employment generation while strengthening the city’s FMCG and food processing ecosystem.
Sargad to Establish Global Innovation Centre
In another development, Sargad is establishing a Global Innovation Centre in Hyderabad.
The investment follows discussions between company representatives and A. Revanth Reddy during the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos.
Officials stated that the proposed centre is expected to enhance Hyderabad’s position as a hub for aerospace, defence, advanced engineering, and technology-driven innovation.
Telangana Strengthens Its Global Investment Position
The latest investments reflect Telangana’s ongoing efforts to attract global enterprises across financial services, consumer goods, aerospace, engineering, and technology sectors.
With new GCCs and innovation centres being established by multinational organizations, Hyderabad continues to strengthen its position as a major destination for global business operations, innovation, talent development, and enterprise transformation.
