Zurich Insurance Appoints Amit Kalra to Lead Global Capability Centers

Zurich Insurance Group has appointed Amit Kalra as Global Head of Zurich Capability Centers, effective July 1, 2026. In this role, he will be responsible for leading Zurich’s global network of capability centres as the company strengthens its focus on scalable technology and AI-led operations worldwide.
Expanded Role Focused on Strategy and Operations
As Global Head, Kalra will oversee the strategic direction and operational scaling of Zurich’s capability centre ecosystem. His mandate includes building future-ready capabilities aligned with the group’s evolving business priorities. He will also play a key role in enhancing global delivery models and strengthening Zurich’s operational foundation across markets.
Hyderabad Global Capability Center to Be a Key Hub
A significant part of Kalra’s responsibilities will include overseeing the establishment of Zurich’s new Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad. This centre is expected to become a critical hub for Zurich’s global operations and transformation initiatives.
Focus on AI, Technology, and End-to-End Capabilities
The Hyderabad GCC will be designed to develop technology and AI-led capabilities, with end-to-end ownership across engineering, data, and core business operations. It will also enable AI-driven ways of working, supporting solution design, delivery, and global scaling across Zurich’s operations.

Amit Kalra brings extensive experience in global operations, transformation, and capability center leadership. His appointment reflects Zurich’s broader strategy to strengthen its digital foundation and expand its global capability footprint.
