Eisai Co., Ltd. has announced the establishment of its Global Capability Centre (EGCC) in Visakhapatnam. The centre has been set up within the Eisai Knowledge Centre, India, and has commenced operations.
Strategic Objective
The EGCC will serve as Eisai’s global information technology hub. It is part of the company’s long-term IT strategy aimed at standardizing and strengthening global IT infrastructure and operations.
By integrating external expertise and advanced technologies, the centre will support the design and operation of internal IT services, enabling secure and high-quality service delivery across global operations.

In its initial phase, the EGCC will focus on:

The centre is established within the Eisai Knowledge Centre, India, which has been operational since 2009 and serves as a key hub for production and process research.
The move aligns with the broader development initiatives in Andhra Pradesh, where efforts are underway to build a “New IT City,” including SEZ development, data centers, and AI hubs.
