The Hyderabad GCC is designed to support advanced financial systems, including algorithms, risk engines, and AI-driven financial capabilities. The move reflects UBS’s strategic focus on leveraging deep talent, digital capability, and long-term ecosystem stability to drive value creation.
Hyderabad’s Growing GCC Ecosystem
Hyderabad continues to emerge as a major destination for Global Capability Centres. The city’s Financial District has developed strong technical capabilities across BFSI, engineering, and deep-tech operations. Over the past year, more than 75 new GCCs have been added to the ecosystem, reinforcing its position as a hub for complex and large-scale global operations.
Boost to India–Switzerland Technology Collaboration
UBS’s decision strengthens the India–Switzerland technology corridor and reinforces Hyderabad’s role in supporting global financial institutions. The 3,000-strong engineering and operations hub represents a significant addition to Telangana’s expanding technology landscape.
