Syensqo, a Belgian global leader in chemical manufacturing, has inaugurated its Global Capability Center (GCC) in Pune, marking a significant milestone in its India journey.
Strengthening Global Operations Through Digital Capabilities
The newly launched GCC will support Syensqo’s global operations by delivering advanced digital capabilities. These include cloud, ERP, cybersecurity, as well as data and AI engineering. The centre is expected to play a key role in driving innovation and supporting the company’s global transformation initiatives.
Aligned with India’s Digital Momentum
The inauguration of the Syensqo GCC aligns with the broader momentum of Digital India and India’s push toward technological innovation. The move reinforces India’s growing position as a strategic hub for global digital and capability centres.
Expanding Presence in India
Syensqo has been active in India since 2005. Its footprint in the country includes:
- Manufacturing facilities in Gujarat and Maharashtra
- A Research & Innovation (R&I) centre in Vadodara
- Sustainable farming initiatives in Rajasthan
The launch of the Pune GCC reflects the company’s continued investment and expansion in India.
Strengthening Belgium–India Collaboration
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Belgium’s Economic Counsellor Patrick Govaert and hub.brussels Trade & Investment Commissioner Bart Vandeputte, highlighting the strengthening collaboration between Belgium and India.
With the announcement of the EU–India Free Trade Agreement (FTA), further investments from Belgian companies in India are expected to follow.
