Southwest Airlines to Establish Global Innovation Centre in Hyderabad

Southwest Airlines has announced plans to set up a Global Innovation Centre in Hyderabad, marking a significant step in the city’s emergence as a hub for technology and innovation.
The announcement was made during a visit by a Southwest Airlines delegation led by Chief Information Officer Lauren Woods and Chief Technology Officer Tom Merritt, who met with Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday

He highlighted Hyderabad’s growth trajectory and explained how the city’s business-friendly ecosystem, skilled talent pool, and robust infrastructure make it an ideal location for global corporate innovation.

Mr. Reddy briefed the delegation on the state government’s ambitious vision of developing Telangana into a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047, under the Telangana Rising 2047 roadmap.
