TIRUCHI – With over 55,000 graduates emerging annually from more than 180 educational institutions, Tiruchi is emerging as a prime destination for Global Capability Centres (GCCs), according to the report “Discover Tiruchi: India’s Emerging GCC Destination” released at the inaugural CII Tiruchi Connect event

He also highlighted the importance of bridging the gap between academia and industry, recommending mandatory internships from the third year extended up to a year to make students job-ready. 

Balasubramaniam, CEO & MD of Stratinfinity, stressed the role of fresh talent in GCC operations, noting that 10–15% of GCC teams are often composed of fresh graduates, who are nurtured and trained to become future leaders. He proposed hosting a GCC CEO Conclave in January to showcase Tiruchi’s potential to global organizations.
