Nokia’s Longstanding Presence in Karnataka
Nokia has been associated with Karnataka for more than 25 years and currently operates its largest global research centre in Bengaluru. During discussions at the World Economic Forum (WEF) summit in Davos, the company conveyed interest in expanding its footprint across Karnataka, including potential opportunities in Tier-2 cities.

Minister Patil also held discussions with John Dutton, Head of UpLink at WEF, highlighting the initiative’s role in providing funding, mentorship, and pilot opportunities for startups addressing city-centric challenges.
