Thales has inaugurated Thales Research & Technology India in Bengaluru, marking India’s entry into the company’s network of five global corporate research hubs, alongside France, the UK, Canada, and Singapore.
Strategic Launch and Global Collaboration
The launch coincided with the India AI Impact Summit and the India-France Year of Innovation 2026, highlighting the growing technological collaboration between India and France.
Focus Areas and Capabilities
Located within Thales’ Engineering Competence Centre in Bengaluru, the new facility will focus on:
- Real-time embedded software
- Edge computing
- Embedded AI
- Exploration of open-source hardware concepts
These initiatives aim to strengthen Thales’ innovation capabilities in emerging technologies and support the company’s global R&D agenda.
