Telangana Unveils Ambitious Plan to Establish 120 Global Capability Centres in Hyderabad

Telangana is making bold moves to strengthen Hyderabad’s position as India’s fastest-growing technology hub. The state government, led by IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu, announced plans to set up 120 new Global Capability Centres (GCCs) within the next year. This initiative is expected to generate around 1.2 lakh jobs across emerging technology sectors such as AI, data analytics, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
The announcement came during the inauguration of Vanguard’s New India Global Value Centre (GVC) at Knowledge Park in Hitec City — a significant milestone that highlights Hyderabad’s growing prominence as a preferred destination for global enterprises.
Hyderabad has become a hub of trust, integrity, and innovation,” said Sridhar Babu, adding that Vanguard’s decision to invest in the city reflects its strong talent base, infrastructure, and global competitiveness.
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka also attended the event, reaffirming the government’s commitment to attracting high-value investments and creating sustainable employment opportunities.
This strategic push for new GCCs aligns with Telangana’s broader vision to position Hyderabad as a global innovation and technology powerhouse, capable of driving India’s digital transformation and contributing significantly to the national economy.
With global players like Vanguard, Deloitte, and Goldman Sachs already expanding their footprints, Telangana’s new GCC initiative is set to accelerate Hyderabad’s rise as a global center for enterprise excellence.
