Sandbox is set to build a 30,000 sq. ft. Mini-Tech Park at Kerala government’s Cyberpark, giving a new boost to Malabar’s startup and IT ecosystem. Developed through a land lease from Kerala State IT Infrastructure Limited, the project will accommodate over 600 professionals and serve as one of Kerala’s first privately developed mid-scale tech parks for startups, SMEs, and IT professionals.
A Catalyst for Innovation
Cyberpark CEO Susanth Kurunthil described the initiative as an important step toward strengthening Malabar’s technology ambitions and positioning Kozhikode as a growing hub for advanced technology.

Smart, Flexible Infrastructure
The Mini-Tech Park will offer open coworking zones, private office suites, incubation areas, and modern meeting rooms, all equipped with AI-driven smart workplace systems. The design includes:
- Founder-mentor cabins and incubation bays for early-stage entrepreneurs
- A café-cum-lounge with breakout corners and phone pods
- Creative and recreational spaces, a 24-hour coffee shop, and quiet wellness zones
Supporting Startups and GCCs
According to Sandbox Founder-CEO Ahamed Shamil, the facility will serve as a self-sufficient Micro IT hub combining innovation, collaboration, and sustainability. It will also include premium facilities for GCCs, offering support services like HR, marketing, finance, and funding access to help startups scale efficiently.
Sustainability and Hybrid Readiness
The workspace will feature energy-efficient lighting, water-saving systems, nap zones, and eco-friendly fixtures, ensuring employee comfort and readiness for hybrid work models.
Innovation Hub for Events and Collaboration
The park is designed to host innovation summits, startup exhibitions, workshops, and tech forums, drawing global IT talent and enhancing Kozhikode’s status as a key node in Kerala’s IT growth story.
