The Rajasthan government has cleared the Global Capability Center (GCC) Policy-2025, marking a significant step toward positioning the state as a leading destination for global technology and business services.
GCC Expansion Plan
Under the new policy, Rajasthan aims to establish over 200 GCCs by 2030, which is expected to generate employment for nearly 1.5 lakh professionals. This initiative will boost the state’s knowledge economy and attract multinational companies to invest in IT, business process services, and research and development.
Strategic GCC Hubs
The policy designates key cities, including Jaipur, Udaipur, and Jodhpur, as GCC hubs. These cities will be developed with the necessary infrastructure and support to meet international business standards and accommodate large-scale global operations.
Government Incentives
To attract companies, the Rajasthan government will provide:
- Subsidies and financial incentives for GCC setup and operations.
- Infrastructure support including office space, connectivity, and utilities.
- Facilitation of ease of doing business through single-window clearance systems.
Industry Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore highlighted that this policy positions Rajasthan as a competitive global investment destination, promoting economic growth, technology adoption, and employment generation.
Broader Economic Impact
The GCC policy is part of Rajasthan’s larger strategy to boost knowledge-driven employment and strengthen its position in the global IT and business services sector. By fostering innovation and collaboration, the state aims to attract international companies and talent while creating a sustainable economic ecosystem.
