Odisha Emerges as GCC Hotspot: TiECon Bhubaneswar 2025 Sparks Global Interest 

Odisha is positioning itself as a Global Capability Centre (GCC) hotspot, driven by a strong push in entrepreneurship, AI, and manufacturing. Speaking at the closing ceremony of TiECon Bhubaneswar 2025, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi called upon investors, mentors, and entrepreneurs to “invest, innovate, and grow with Odisha.”

The two-day summit, held from August 9–10 at the Mayfair Convention Centre, was organised by the Department of Electronics & Information Technology, the Industries Department, OCAC, IPICOL, and Startup Odisha in collaboration with TiE Global. The event brought together entrepreneurs, innovators, investors, policymakers, and industry leaders from India and abroad to discuss entrepreneurship, AI adoption, and emerging sector growth.
Odisha’s GCC Vision
Highlighting the state’s ambition, CM Majhi said:

“We are actively positioning Odisha as a preferred destination for Global Capability Centres. Whether in chip design, AI research, blockchain, or financial inclusion, Odisha is ready to lead.”

The CM emphasised that Odisha is building future-ready talent in AI, cybersecurity, and emerging tech while expanding digital hubs beyond Bhubaneswar to Cuttack, Rourkela, Sambalpur, and Berhampur.

Majhi stressed that Odisha’s growth model focuses on job creation, youth empowerment, and social justice.
He assured investors:

“Once you are here, you will feel Odisha is your second home. Together, we can make Odisha the entrepreneurial capital of Eastern India and realise the vision of Purvodaya — the rise of the East.”
