The MP GCC Leadership Connect Roundtable—held at the Brilliant Convention Center in Indore as part of MP Tech Growth Conclave 2.0—brought together over 25 Global Capability Centres (GCCs) for an in-depth discussion on shaping Madhya Pradesh’s long-term technology and innovation strategy. The event underlined the state’s ambition to become a preferred national destination for GCCs, especially across high-tech, emerging, and digital-first sectors.
Government Vision: Building India’s Most Forward-Looking GCC Ecosystem
Additional Chief Secretary for Science & Technology, Shri Sanjay Dubey, emphasized that developing Madhya Pradesh as a GCC hub is a top government priority. He highlighted several strengths and initiatives:
1. First State in India With a Dedicated GCC Policy
MP has established a progressive policy framework to attract, support, and scale GCCs across tech-intensive sectors.
2. Strong Tier-2 Infrastructure
Cities like Indore and Bhopal offer a cost-efficient, talent-rich business environment, making them ideal for high-value operations.
3. Advanced Technology Policies
The state is driving multiple tech-forward initiatives:
- A drone policy with a dedicated drone data repository
- Active promotion of semiconductor investment
- Subsidies through the data center policy
- A new space technology policy under development
Dubey also highlighted that IIT Indore is India’s only institute offering both BTech and MTech in Space Technology, further strengthening MP’s talent pipeline.
4. Rising Tech & Startup Powerhouse
Madhya Pradesh contributes over 10% of India’s gaming IP creation, showcasing its innovation potential and technical talent depth.

Gautham Yadav, India Center Head, Vena
He highlighted the combined talent strengths of IIT Indore, MANIT Bhopal, and GSITS Indore, noting that leadership hiring will accelerate GCC growth in the state.
Parth Sen Gupta, Vice President, Vena India
He emphasized the strong potential for financial sector GCCs, given MP’s cost-efficiency and expanding skilled workforce.
Gaurav Kumar, Partner, KPMG
Kumar stressed that MP’s tier-2 cities offer a robust talent base, with local youth preferring to stay within the state—ensuring long-term supply stability.
Kshitij Banthia, Cyber Head, NTT Data
Banthia pointed to the state’s thriving startup ecosystem and growing number of active GCCs, advocating for higher local recruitment.
Aditya Kshetrapal, Partner, EY LLP
He stated that beyond establishing GCCs, consistency and operational continuity are key for sustained efficiency and cost optimization.
