McCormick & Company has appointed Abhinav Goel as GBS India Head and Global Process Improvement Leader, strengthening its leadership bench to support global capability building and enterprise-wide transformation.
Announcing his appointment, Goel stated that the role brings together two areas of focus he values deeply—building high-performing global teams and driving sustainable process excellence at scale. In his new mandate, he will partner with teams across geographies to expand McCormick’s India Global Business Solutions (GBS) footprint, deliver enterprise value, and contribute to shaping the company’s long-term transformation roadmap.
Dual Leadership Mandate
In this dual role, Goel will lead McCormick’s India GBS organization as a hosted services location while also steering the company’s Global Process Improvement (PI) agenda. His responsibilities include aligning transformation, operational excellence, and value creation with business strategy and financial objectives.
Key focus areas include:
- Shaping governance and engagement models for GBS operations
- Building a multi-year global process improvement roadmap linked to enterprise priorities and growth ambitions
- Driving productivity improvements and sustainable cost optimization
- Leading India expansion efforts through capability scaling and geographic positioning
- Embedding a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation
Professional Background
Prior to joining McCormick & Company, Goel spent over two years at Quintes Global | GCC & Enterprise Services Transformation Partner, where he led strategic initiatives and industry engagements. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President – GCC Capabilities and SSF Global, leading the GCC Advisory practice and SSF Global platform. In this role, he partnered with CXOs and GCC leaders to design transformation roadmaps spanning process, technology, talent, innovation, and value creation.
Earlier, he held the role of Vice President – Strategic Initiatives at Quintes Global, where he owned the P&L for the GCC Advisory and Transformation vertical and supported large-scale finance transformation, GBS location strategy and setups, and talent strategy programs.
Experience at American Express and Other Organisations
Goel brings extensive experience from American Express, where he spent nearly eight years across senior finance leadership roles. As Vice President – Finance, he led the Record-to-Report function and a large global team responsible for balance sheet compliance and financial integrity. During this tenure, he built and led a 500-member finance operations team, consolidated accounting functions across legal entities, reduced processing time by 40%, transitioned over 300 FTEs to create an accounting centre of excellence, and drove large-scale automation initiatives.
Previously, as Director – Finance (Controllership), he led a 100+ member team managing global account reconciliation, reporting, analytics, and compliance.
Goel has also served as Chief Financial Officer at PKS Infra Engineers Private Limited, overseeing strategic finance, board-level growth planning, project financing, budgeting and controls, and operational management. Earlier in his career, he was part of the leadership team at Google as Manager – Finance Shared Services, where he helped establish the Finance Centre of Excellence in India, covering service delivery models, governance, compliance, process standardisation, automation, and team culture.
He began his leadership journey at American Express as Finance Manager and has also held roles at IMG and KPMG.
