India’s GCC Leadership on the Global Stage
As India’s global services industry matures into a $300 billion powerhouse, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is doubling down on its mission to place Chartered Accountants (CAs) at the centre of this transformation.
The second edition of the Global Capability Centres (GCC) Summit, scheduled for August 29–30, 2025, at GIFT City Club, Ahmedabad, builds on the momentum from the first summit in New Delhi in June. With the theme “From Ledgers to Leadership,” this high-profile gathering will feature policymakers, global finance leaders, industry experts, and ICAI members from across India.
GIFT City – Symbol of India’s Global Ambition
Hosting the summit at GIFT City—India’s first operational international financial services centre—adds both geographic and strategic significance. The venue reflects India’s aspiration to be not only a global services hub but also a command centre for fintech, capital markets, and compliance leadership.
The summit will showcase how Chartered Accountants are evolving from back-office roles to becoming governance leaders, value creators, and technology-integrated professionals.
ICAI’s Vision: Leading the GCC Transformation
ICAI President CA. Charanjot Singh Nanda highlighted India’s active role in shaping the GCC landscape:
“India is on the move, and our Chartered Accountants are emerging as business leaders. We are setting the agenda, not just meeting it.”
The ICAI is committed to policy dialogue, capability building, and enabling Indian professionals to drive high-value global delivery—transforming the perception of India from a cost-competitive outsourcing location to a capability-rich innovation hub.
