A Pan-India Ecosystem in the Making
The inauguration of the Semiconductor Design Centre in Uttar Pradesh is a key part of India’s growing semiconductor mission. Shri Vaishnaw noted that this initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of building a self-reliant, end-to-end semiconductor ecosystem that leverages India’s vast engineering talent pool
Launch of Semiconductor Learning Kits for Students
To further strengthen India’s future semiconductor workforce, Shri Vaishnaw also announced the launch of a Semiconductor Learning Kit. These kits are aimed at improving practical hardware design skills among engineering students
Over 270 academic institutions that have already received Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools under the India Semiconductor Mission will now also receive these hands-on kits, ensuring broader exposure to real-world semiconductor design practices
India's Semiconductor Momentum Accelerates
The newly launched centres and student-focused initiatives underscore the government’s commitment to making India a global hub for semiconductor design and manufacturing . With robust infrastructure, top-tier talent, and strategic investments, India’s semiconductor future is gaining clear momentum
