Sridhar Babu stated that Hyderabad’s world-class infrastructure, talent pool, and life sciences ecosystem were key factors behind HCA’s decision. He described Hyderabad as “the gateway to a complete global ecosystem of healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and life sciences.”
GCC Operations and Growth Plans
- The Hyderabad GCC will initially focus on IT, finance, human resources, supply chain, procurement, and related business operations. Over time, the facility plans to expand into artificial intelligence, analytics, and other business functions
- Emily Duncan, Senior Vice President of Global Capability Network at HCA Healthcare, and Atul Kapoor, V-P and Hyderabad Centre Head, mentioned that the GCC currently employs 1,100 people and is expected to grow to 1,300 by December 2025, with further expansion beyond the initial $75 million investment
