GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group company and a leader in digital engineering, has expanded its presence in southern India with the inauguration of a new facility in Chennai. The move strengthens the company’s strategic footprint in India and deepens its collaboration with Global Capability Centres (GCCs).
The new office, located at RMZ Milenia Business Park in Perungudi, was inaugurated by Tamil Nadu’s Minister of Information Technology and Digital Services, Palanivel Thiagarajan, in the presence of NASSCOM’s Regional Director for South, Bhaskar Kumar Verma.
Strategic Expansion and Growth Plans
GlobalLogic currently employs over 800 professionals in Chennai and plans to expand its headcount by 20%, crossing 1,000 employees by the end of 2025. The company aims to reach a 20,000-strong workforce in India and 35,000 employees globally as part of its growth strategy.
Speaking at the inauguration, Piyush Jha, Group Vice President and Managing Director, APAC, GlobalLogic, said:

Focus on AI and Telecom Innovation
The Chennai centre will serve as a specialized hub for telecom and media solutions, focusing on emerging technologies such as AI, 5G monetisation, intelligent networks, DevOps/MLOps, embedded systems, and data analytics.
Teams at the new facility will work on AI-driven customer experience transformation, advanced software development, and next-generation telecom innovation.
