The center is expected to employ around 700 skilled professionals, reinforcing India’s position as a hub for global innovation and high-value enterprise services.

A senior Daikin executive emphasized that this move reflects a strategic pivot—not merely for cost optimization, but to build high-impact global competencies within India. “This is a long-term investment in innovation and talent. India is no longer seen just as a cost base, but as a core contributor to Daikin’s global value chain,” the executive said.

India continues to be a key growth market for Daikin. In FY 2024–25, the company generated ₹12,500 crore in revenue and is actively expanding its manufacturing footprint. Current projects include:
- Compressor manufacturing units
- An export-focused plant in Sri City targeting markets such as Africa, South America, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Bhutan
