Covasant Technologies Launches AI Innovation Centre in Hyderabad, Strengthening GCC Ecosystem

Covasant Technologies, an agentic AI-led services provider, inaugurated its AI Innovation Centre in Hyderabad on Monday. The centre is part of India’s growing Global Capability Centre (GCC) ecosystem, supporting global operations in AI, cybersecurity, and enterprise automation. Telangana IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu inaugurated the facility.
GCC Expansion and Talent Plans
Covasant plans to build a 3,000-strong workforce in AI/ML, cybersecurity, and data engineering by 2028, beginning with 500 engineers at the new Hyderabad facility. Alongside its offices in Dallas, New York, Los Angeles, London, and Dubai, the centre will contribute to global delivery and innovation, a hallmark of GCC operations.
Founder C.V. Subramanyam said, “Agentic AI is emerging as a powerful capability. Our focus is on solving enterprise problems, automating complex workflows, and embedding AI agents into the enterprise fabric.”
Telangana’s AI & GCC Strategy
Minister D. Sridhar Babu emphasized the importance of upskilling professionals to meet AI’s rapid growth. Telangana’s proposed AI Hub, including an AI University, will provide advanced training in emerging technologies for students and engineers, ensuring a steady talent pipeline for GCCs and AI innovation centres.
Special Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar shared that Telangana plans to make Hyderabad India’s largest AI hub and a top 20 global AI destination, consolidating GCCs and AI initiatives under a single unified command centre.
