Collabera has announced the launch of its Global Capability Centre (GCC) Hub in Vadodara, marking the company’s first GCC in a Tier 2 city and a significant step in its India growth journey.
GCC Hub Purpose and Design
The state-of-the-art capability hub is built to support organizations looking to build, grow, scale, and transform. The Vadodara GCC Hub combines delivery excellence, governance, and talent into a single operating model, designed around speed, standards, and consistent delivery. It also serves as an incubation and growth hub, enabling teams to ramp quickly while maintaining operational discipline.
Leadership Perspective
Speaking on the strategic shift to Tier 2 cities, Ranjith Doshi, Global CFO and India COO, said:
“Tier 2 is no longer an alternative. It’s the expansion strategy. It gives enterprises the headroom to build resilient teams and scale sustainably, with Tier 1 quality of execution.”
Sunny Shah, Senior Vice President, added:
“Vadodara is an ideal Tier 2 choice because it brings the right fundamentals for a GCC: talent availability, affordability, and continuity. That combination reduces noise and improves delivery quality as you scale.”
India GCC Context
India continues to strengthen its position as a global GCC hub, hosting over 1,700 GCCs and nearly 1.9 million professionals, with GCC revenue at USD 64.6 billion. India accounts for an estimated 53% of GCCs worldwide, with GCCs contributing 17.2% of services exports by the end of 2024.
Why Vadodara?
Collabera selected Vadodara for its mix of city scale, industrial strength, talent availability, and cost efficiency. The city hosts strong industries including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, textiles, and machinery. Institutions like The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda provide a steady pipeline of skilled graduates. The region also benefits from corridor connectivity through the Ahmedabad–Vadodara–Surat stretch, aligned with the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC).
Launch Event
The launch on January 25, 2026, included leadership interactions, key launch moments, and media engagement. SIG guests Dawn Tiura, Linda Barnes, and Liz Mantovani attended, alongside Collabera leadership Ranjith Doshi, Sunny Shah, and Pradeep Nair. Attendees toured the hub and met the on-ground team, while a Q&A highlighted the vision and growth roadmap for the Vadodara GCC Hub.
