The event, held on September 8 at Ajanta Business Centre, Bejai-Kapikad, brought together industry leaders, academics, and government representatives to deliberate on Mangaluru’s growing innovation potential. The session was presided over by Darshan H V, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada.
Bose Launches Global Capability Centre in Mangaluru
- John Maier visited Mangaluru to review Bose Professional’s newly established Global Capability Centre (GCC) located at Vertex Treo, Kadri.
- Initially launched with a single employee, the GCC has already grown to 25 professionals, led by Namith Padmaraj, Director (Software Engineering), Bose Professional.
- The GCC is projected to expand further to 100 members within the next year.
John Maier remarked :“This is our first dedicated R&D centre outside Massachusetts, and the energy and talent we see here confirm that choosing Mangaluru was the right decision.”

- Deputy Commissioner Darshan H V highlighted the pivotal role of GCCs in shaping Mangaluru’s digital future and stressed the need to explore opportunities in Animation, Visual, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC) sound technologies
- He also emphasized Karnataka’s Beyond Bengaluru initiative and proactive local policies as key drivers positioning Tier II cities like Mangaluru to attract high-value global investments.
- Vertex Managed Workspace founders—Gurudatta Shenoy, Mahesh Shetty, and Mangaldeep A. R.—underscored their mission to enable enterprise growth, supporting over 35 organisations with 2,000+ workspaces and facilitating global connections through hubs like Dubai.
