ArcelorMittal Establishes AMGBT Global Capability Center in Hyderabad and Pune

ArcelorMittal has announced the launch of its Global Capability Center, ArcelorMittal Global Business & Technologies, in Hyderabad and Pune. The new centers are designed to serve as strategic technology and business hubs supporting the company’s global operations.
Driving Technology, Innovation, and Business Services
AMGBT will integrate technology, digital innovation, and global business services to support ArcelorMittal’s worldwide operations, particularly across Europe. The GCC will host a broad range of capabilities including digital technology, IT infrastructure, data and analytics, cyber security, finance and accounting, procurement, human resources, project management, and other global business services.
By leveraging India’s strong talent ecosystem, the center aims to enable enterprise transformation, operational efficiency, and technology-led innovation across the organization’s global network.
Leadership Highlights Strategic Vision
The GCC was launched digitally by Lakshmi N. Mittal, alongside Vijay Goyal and Stephanie Werner-Dietz, highlighting the company’s commitment to strengthening its technology and innovation footprint in India.
According to Nik Puri, AMGBT has already started delivering globally scaled projects and will continue building centres of excellence supported by Hyderabad’s strong technology talent.
Scaling Talent and Innovation
The organization plans to hire 2,000 professionals across digital technology, IT infrastructure, data science, cyber security, and global business services. The center has already surpassed the 1,100 employee milestone, reflecting strong momentum and rapid growth.
Speaking about the initiative, Lalit Kumar, CEO of AMGBT, emphasized that the center is focused on creating an environment where teams can collaborate, innovate, and deliver global impact while supporting continuous learning and professional growth.

With operations in more than 60 countries and a workforce of over 125,000 employees worldwide, ArcelorMittal continues to expand its global capabilities through strategic investments in India. The launch of AMGBT in Hyderabad and Pune further reinforces India’s growing role in supporting global enterprise technology, innovation, and business services.
